Interesting Background Information?
I was a former biology major student that decided to go into a different direction than my field of study after my college years. I started as a temporary file clerk with the Bakker Agency and the extent of my insurance knowledge was what I was paying in premium and my deductible. As I filed the endless mountains of paper I realized how much growth opportunity there was. I was hired by the agency full-time and started working as a licensed producer. While increasing my product knowledge of the business, and counseling clients on coverage, I became an Account Executive. All my hard-work has paid off since those early years since I am now a Vice President of the agency and the Personal Lines Manager.
What is your favorite sport?
Football is my favorite sport to watch whether it is the NFL or my eldest son playing in town. My favorite sport to play used to be baseball until I was bit by the golf bug in 2013. Currently, you can definitely catch me following the pros, or hitting the links any chance that I get.
I will offer my help to anyone that needs it, and I usually volunteer in my town for field prep in the beginning of the season or chain gang duty.
Work hard, play hard!
On weekends, you can find me…
Spending quality time with my wife and kids whether we are beach-bumming it, riding bikes, hiking, traveling to different attractions in New England. I also try to sneak in a round of early morning golf when time permits.
Any interesting facts about yourself?
I lived in Brooklyn, NY for the first 10 years of my life and while in grade school my parents didn’t think 7 hours of school was enough. So after school a bus would pick-up my sister and I and we would attend Greek school for an additional 2 hours 3 days a week. As a result, I can read, write and speak Greek fluently.
