Interesting Background Information?
I worked at The Hartford until my first child, a daughter, was born in 1987. I then became a “stay at home Mom’ until she was almost 3. At that point I went to The Hartford until 1992 when my second child, a son, was born. I then ran my own home day care for 14 years where I spent my days running after children, changing diapers, and making an endless amount of macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Then in September of 2004 I decided I needed to join the “grown up world” again and came to the Bakker Agency. I started here as a file clerk and then took the P&C licensing exam after a year, passed on the first shot, and have been part of the Commercial Lines Department ever since!
What is your favorite sport?
I like to watch basketball, football, baseball and ice skating. My daughter ice skated for years and I was also a “Mom” to a couple of girls from Mexico that lived with me for 3 years.
I am an elementary school crossing guard in the mornings before I come to work. I also have volunteered for police races and the Special Olympics.
Live, Laugh, Love.
On weekends, you can find me…
Reading a book and relaxing, shopping, and manning the emergency Bakker Phone Line. In the summer, I love to spend time outdoors reading, relaxing and going to the beach.
Any interesting facts about yourself?

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
I love to travel and once drove across the country in a mini-van with my family. My new favorite place to travel is Florida, where I visit my daughter and her fiancée.
