The Bakker Agency will not sell, disseminate, disclose, trade, transmit, transfer, share, lease or rent any personally identifiable information to any nonaffiliated third party not specifically authorized by you to receive your information except as we have disclosed to you in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect personal data to provide you with the products or services you requested. We may obtain it from your application, your transactions with us, or consumer reporting agencies. We may collect personal data about you to process transactions or claims, to determine if you qualify for coverage and to prevent fraud. Where required, we will obtain your consent before collecting it. The personal data may include: your name, Social Security number, tax payer ID number, Driver’s license number, home address, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address.

This information will be provided to the insurance company (or companies) when you apply for and/or purchase an insurance policy so they can establish you as a policyholder. We will maintain a record of your information at our offices so we can provide you with policyholder service. The employees of our agency are each required to sign and acknowledge a Confidentiality and Nondisclosure Agreement. Each employee has been instructed on maintaining the privacy of each client and the importance of protecting the client’s personal information.  In order to protect your personal data, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. We review these safeguards regularly in keeping with technological advancements. We restrict access to your personal data. We also train our employees in the proper handling of your personal data.

The Bakker Agency does not now, nor does it intend to in the future, disclose any personal information to any nonaffiliated third party, except as permitted by law.  In order to improve service to our clients, we may share information about current or former clients with our associated businesses.  By sharing this information we can offer our clients additional services/products which may benefit their overall….The types of information we may share includes the following:

  • Identification information such as name, address, and telephone number
  • Transactional information
  • Information we receive from you on applications and forms
  • Information we receive from other third parties

In the normal course of business, we may disclose some of the client information that we collect as previously described, on clients and former clients to companies that perform marketing services for us or to other insurance companies with whom we have joint marketing arrangements.    In these cases Bakker Agency will enter into an agreement with the third party that will require the third party to maintain confidentiality of the information in the same manner Bakker Agency would and to restrict its use.  We will not provide your personal information to non-insurance companies for the purpose of their independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-insurance products or services.  We may provide information to companies that perform services for us in connection with your accounts such as data processing, software companies, and collection agencies.
